Rare hard shell holster designed for the LUGER pistol and made of black granulated pigskin leather except for the closure strap and the belt loops (cowhide leather).
The marking is on top of rear face : maker’s name = EG LEUNER GmbH in BAUTZEN) and the P08 stamp. The military Inspection mark is not visible nor is the date of assembly which should be 1941 or 1942.

WW2 pigskin holsters are always scarcer than the usual cowhide models …
